Our second Charlotte Regional Partnership ‘By the Numbers’ report is now published and once again provides a unique and in-depth view of quarterly economic activity across Charlotte USA. The goal of our report is to capture an overarching look at capital investment, job growth and other important business data across the 16 county region.
The Charlotte Regional Partnership ‘By the Numbers’ reports were created to provide valuable information to the business community and public officials. These reports are unlike other economic activity reports in terms of the breadth of information and relativity.
As stated at the launch of these reports last quarter, we are excited about the opportunity to collate and provide this data in an easily comprehended format, to serve Charlotte USA business and economic development leaders.
Worth noting in this ‘By the Numbers’ report covering 2017 Quarter 3–2018 Quarter 2:
During the past 5 years, each of our target sectors, other than Health, have grown at least twice the national rate. In addition, Advanced Manufacturing is growing at three times the national average!
Another interesting highlight is the fact that the logistics and distribution sector is about to overtake the financial sector. I think that is noteworthy considering our identity and history as primarily a financial hub.
I hope you find this report as valuable and useful as I and our Charlotte Regional Partnership team, as we continue our work to leverage regional resources to market the 16-county Charlotte region and to secure long-term growth, job creation and investment opportunities.
