 Recent Announcements


In 2010 Swedish outdoor equipment manufacturer, Husqvarna, invested $2.75 million in its new North American headquarters, bringing 160 additional jobs to Charlotte.

Electrolux AB, a Swedish home-appliance manufacturer, will establish its North American headquarters in Charlotte, investing $8.3 million and bringing at least 738 jobs to the region over the next five years. Electrolux will also move its Home Comfort Products headquarters to Charlotte from Bloomington, Ill.

Swedish biotech firm, Biotage, moved its North American headquarters to Charlotte from Charlottesville, VA in 2009. Biotage makes instruments and other laboratory materials for use in pharmaceutical, medical, academic and consumer-product research.
